A Million Ways to do Math

Math is everywhere! Just look at David’s Math Moments columns for examples of families enjoying math together as part of everyday life. The stories David tells in Math Moments are just the beginning. There are a million more places to find math with your family — at home, in the car, on the street, in the store, at the park, on the sports field, in museums, zoos, aquariums, amusement parks, nature centers and more.

Wherever you find math, David wants to know about it! Please share pictures (or video) and a story about a way you or your family has used math. It doesn’t matter whether you are six or 60. David would love to hear from you! Tell him where did you used math and how. What did it help you understand? How did you feel about that? David may post your pictures, your stories or both on this web site, or he may use them in a future book.* (If published in a book, he will send you a copy  — signed, of course!

For any image to be used, a photo/video release form must be signed. A parent or legal guardian must give permission for images of children under 18. Click here to download the simple release form. You may attach the completed form below, or follow alternate instructions on the form.
